I like the way you have altered the colour of the stream photo. It really adds that bit of pop to the image.

That is what I love about digital photography, being able to edit an image. Some people say it isn't really photography because it doesn't reflect reality. My argument is " when did it ever?" People have been manipulating images since it started. They used a darkroom and filters. Now we use the computer. Good fun.

Thanks Sandra, that's great. Took me a while as my PS looks different to the one used, but I got there in the end. I am not really into editing, as I try and get the shot as natural as it looks, BUT it never really looks as good when I view the result. So, a little editing really makes a difference, especially taking all in RAW as they have to be "developed", especially sharpening. Having said that, I like the fun in these edits, sometimes just for a laugh, sometimes to try and make the shot look better. I should do a lot of these tutorials as I have never used PS to any great degree, don't know what most of the stuff does! Anyway.............look like snow?
edit new 4.jpgsnow (546.46 KB)
Well PS strikes again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Something wrong somewhere. I renamed it and it came out as above, so I renamed it differently and I think it came out properly. Some gremlin somewhere, PS, camera, me,

Second one much better, I think. How will you judge this if some people only do one edit and others do the three?

It will be entirely judged on what "takes my eye" or is it "subjective" or "Objective"? Col you were/are a teacher which one should I use?? OOORRR I might choose one that impresses the .... out of me!

Whatever impresses the out of you works for me! I think that is the whole idea of digitally enhancing a photo.

BTW with the frozen tractor I followed the web site steps (as posted before) then re adjusted sliders to suit me; went on google and found the icicles (free) copy, pasted onto tractor in PS; removed black background of icicles; went edit/transform/scale and change size to fit; placed on edge of tractor canopie; copied that layer and pasted again; shrank and squashed the icicles and attached to bumper of tractor; flattened dahdah
